Opportunity: Advanced Practitioners - Hospitalist/Emergency Job Details: Join a collaborative, patient-centered team as a Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn Nursery provider Open to Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (APRN) and Physician Assistants (PA) 100% inpatient setting focused on Pediatric Hospitalist and Newborn Nursery care Round on newborns and attend both scheduled and emergent c-sections Manage phototherapy for newborns requiring treatment Occasionally perform pediatric consults to the ED or inpatient floors Stabilize newborns for transport as needed 24/7 neonatologist support available 24-hour shifts with full-time or part-time scheduling options available No call required Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in collaboration with physician(s) and care team members, including referrals to specialists Requires an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible) Minimum 1+ years of experience in an inpatient pediatrics, hospitalist, or newborn nursery setting required Training as a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant required Compensation: Employed salary with benefits.
