Benefits Industry‑leading health benefits, including medical and dental coverage Extensive pension plan and supplemental retirement offerings Paid time off, including 13 paid holidays per calendar year Professional growth and paid professional development opportunities A work culture that promotes a healthy work‑life balance to all employees Position Highlights Shift: first shift, full‑time, 40 hours per week Schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday Locations: Carl‑Robinson Correction Institution (Enfield, CT) or MacDougall‑Walker Correction Institution (Suffield, CT) Hazardous duty position; hazardous duty training at Maloney Center for Training & Staff Development Your Role Supervise a major independent clinical psychology program and multidisciplinary teams Provide clinical supervision, conduct psychological testing, deliver individual psychotherapy, implement behavior management strategies Lead multidisciplinary clinical teams and provide clinical consultative services for complex cases Engage in collaborative care planning with external support services and research‑driven programming Responsibilities and Duties Supervises a major independent clinical psychology program; plans, develops, implements, and coordinates new service programs; schedules, assigns, oversees and reviews staff work; provides staff training and assistance; conducts performance evaluations; determines priorities; establishes program procedures; develops policies and standards; acts as liaison with other operating units; selects and administers psychiatric tests; evaluates individuals, supervises staff in treatment plans; provides consultation on complex cases; addresses professional and lay groups; may design, implement, and direct psychological research programs; performs related duties as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Significant knowledge of abnormal and clinical psychology and other psychological disciplines Proficiency with a wide variety of psychological tests: sources, uses, administration, interpretation Understanding of psychological research design, data analysis, and application of results Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Capacity to make diagnoses, develop treatment plans, conduct psychotherapy Ability to interface clinical programs with multidisciplinary approaches Teaching and supervisory abilities Minimum Qualifications A Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology and two (2) years of post‑doctoral experience as a licensed clinical psychologist. Preferred Qualifications Experience with forensic or justice‑involved clients Experience supervising psychologists and/or licensed mental health professionals Experience working within a bargaining unit workplace Special Requirements Must possess and retain a license to practice psychology in Connecticut Must be eligible to participate in federal health care programs May be required to be fluent in a foreign language or proficient in American Sign Language May be required to travel Conclusion
