Job Summary:
This IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit) registered nurse position is based in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves providing high-quality patient care for medical cardiac patients in a large teaching hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The position involves working rotating shifts, with a schedule of 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Baltimore, Maryland
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license, 2 years nursing experience, BLS certification, IMC experience, dysrhythmia management experience, EMR proficiency in EPIC, at least 2 previous travel assignments.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Certification, trauma course, ACLS certification.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have experience with high acuity patients, including vent management, tracheostomies, Aline, titrating infusions (Nitroglycerin, Insulin, Heparin), and understanding of provider-managed pressors and inotropes. Orientations are scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.
• Previous employment in any capacity within the Johns Hopkins health system must be noted on the coversheet and within the work history for verification purposes. Candidates who are former Johns Hopkins staff, PRN, or perm employees wishing to reapply as travelers must be absent for at least one full year.
