Facilities Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)

Job Description

PURPOSE: Maintain building and production support equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITY:

* Install water, air and natural gas service for production equipment.

* Assist in maintenance of molding and printing machine support equipment, air compressors, air dryers, cooling towers, chillers, process water pumps and material pneumatic handling system.

*Operate man lifts and work overhead at heights up to 70 ft. Operate fork truck and overhead crane as needed.

*Maintain and follow all company safety, environmental and health requirements, including Amcor Life Saving Rules.

* Work in a safe manner at all times.

* Maintain equipment to keep it in proper and safe operating order.

* Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

* Perform other tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High School or equivalent diploma.

* Trade School, Technical, Electrical, Mechanical certificate or degree is a plus.

* Able to work independently and with others.

*Able to accept responsibility for work performed.

*Capability to carry out duties as assigned.
