The Ford Motor Credit Company team helps put people behind the wheels of great Ford and Lincoln vehicles. By partnering with dealerships, we provide financing, personalized service and professional expertise to thousands of dealers and millions of customers in over one hundred countries around the world. Ford Motor Credit Company ("Ford Credit"), has received regulatory conditional approval to form Ford Credit Bank (the "Bank") to be headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Bank will create innovative and simplified banking solutions to help customers across the country finance the purchase of new Ford vehicles, parts, accessories, and software and earn competitive rates on FDIC-insured savings accounts and certificates of deposit. The Bank will be a direct and wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Credit Company ("Ford Credit"), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company ("Ford").

In this position... The Internal Control Department's mission is to sustain a robust control environment through disciplined evaluation, enhancement, and insight. We play an integral role in facilitating the Company's compliance with SOX, operational, and regulatory requirements, and in the enhancement of the Company's critical business processes.

The Internal Control Manager will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of an effective control environment for Ford Credit Bank. This individual will lead the full spectrum of internal control activities for Ford Credit Bank, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and successful delivery of standalone audit requirements. You will lead the development of key internal control infrastructure to ensure Day 1 readiness, and will work closely with various levels of Company leadership, leading the coordination of efforts with cross-functional partners, regulators, and the external audit team. As an Internal Control Manager, you will play a critical role on an evolving global team, contributing directly to Internal Control's vision: to be recognized as a value-add and trusted advisor, and partner to the business.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

• Lead the development of key Ford Credit Bank internal control infrastructure, including development and implementation of a fit-for-purpose RCM and operating model to ensure Day 1 readiness for regulatory and standalone audit requirements.

• Develop and execute an annual internal control testing program, ensuring key milestones and objectives are met and results are clearly communicated to stakeholders.

• Provide direction and guidance on the identification of key risks and opportunities, evaluation of internal controls and underlying business processes, and delivery of value-add recommendations to drive continuous improvement.

• Assist in the preparation and communication of materials for executive reporting to Ford Credit Bank and Ford Credit leadership and the Audit Committee.

• Support ongoing regulatory and standalone external audit processes, interpreting results and developing meaningful recommendations to address potential findings.

• Collaborate with individuals across various departments and functions, utilizing interpersonal skills to achieve cooperation and consensus.

• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Internal Audit, regulators, and external auditors.

• Anticipate and proactively respond to industry and regulatory changes that impact the business.

• Lead special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

You'll have...

• At least 8 years of experience in public accounting and/or professional internal auditing or internal controls work; financial services and/or banking experience is highly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• CIA, CPA, or equivalent certification required, or actively pursuing
• Technical skills include a deep knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO Internal Control Framework, US GAAP, and PCAOB standards
• Demonstrated knowledge of banking and financial services operations and controls, with a proven track record of successful delivering against regulatory and external audit requirements.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $112,680-212,760.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
