We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager, FP&A – Hefty Home & Tableware to join our Finance team at Corporate Headquarters in Lake Forest, IL. Responsibilities The Senior Finance Manager, FP&A will be responsible for leading financial planning and analysis activities for the Hefty Home & Tableware, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and oversight of one direct report. In addition, this role requires cross-functional collaboration with Customer Marketing and Global Sourcing by providing financial support for new business opportunities. Overall, the role is responsible for delivering strategic insights to executive management, driving cost discipline, and supporting informed decision-making across the business.You Will Have the Opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!Financial Planning & Analysis LeadershipLead the development of the Hefty Home & Tableware annual operating plan, forecasting cycles, and ongoing evaluation of risks and opportunities, ensuring accuracy and delivering key insights.Perform variance analysis and provide actionable explanations on key volume drivers (customer and category trends, distribution changes, elasticity impacts), revenue drivers (customer mix, product mix, pricing, trade), and COGS (commodities, conversion, logistics).Responsible for month-end close activities and financial reporting for the Hefty Home & Tableware BU, ensuring strong accounting accuracy, results integrity, and financial story-telling.Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis for SG&A across the business unit.Strategic Business PartnershipPartner with Customer Marketing and Global Sourcing to develop financial models new product launches, pricing initiatives and margin optimization.Evaluate financial implications of strategic initiatives and business development activities.Provide decision support for pricing changes, promotional strategies, and product portfolio optimization.Identify cost savings and margin expansion opportunities, including SKU rationalization and productivity initiatives.Act as a trusted finance partner to cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment between financial objectives and commercial strategy.Communicate complex financial concepts clearly and influence decision-making across multiple levels of the organization.Operational Excellence & AnalyticsDrive continuous improvement in forecasting, reporting, and analytical processes to enhance efficiency and decision quality.Ensure compliance with corporate accounting standards and internal controls for all Kitchens-related transactions.Leverage data, systems, and technology to improve financial visibility and business insights.People Leadership & Talent DevelopmentLead and develop direct report(s), fostering a high-performance, continuous-improvement culture.Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and support professional development.You Will Love It Here If… You listen, learn, and evolveYou thrive in a fast-paced environmentYou put safety first, alwaysYou are passionate about collaboration, teamwork, and achieving shared goalsYou believe in treating all people with respect, operating ethically, and growing a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaceYou are committed to improving our impact on local communities and creating positive experiences Qualifications Education/Experience RequiredBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.8+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in commercial or FP&A roles.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesProven experience managing, coaching, and developing people.Strong financial modeling, analytical, and Excel skills, with ability to translate data into actionable insights.Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems (SAP, Hyperion, or similar).Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions.Self-directed, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), consumer durables, and/or manufacturing industry experience, preferred.Experience supporting new product launches and category management initiatives.Demonstrated success leading process improvement initiatives within FP&A or commercial financeCompetenciesResults Driven - Ability to focus on organizational growth, financial performance and achieving results.Critical Decision Maker – Clear, critical thinker that engages in thoughtful, data-driven decisions and has the ability to summarize and draw appropriate conclusions from complex data.Teamwork & Collaboration – Builds rapport and collaborates effectively across the organization and fosters an environment of open and transparent communication.Compelling Communication – Effective written and verbal communicator that clearly and succinctly conveys information across all levels.Strategic Orientation – Ability to balance short-term goals with long-term organizational and functional strategic priorities.People Leadership – Ability to develop employees through coaching and feedback and holds team members accountable through modeling appropriate behavior.Want to know more?
