Purchasing Manager
Position Summary
Responsible for purchasing, supplier relationships, inventory, logistics, and imports. Works closely with Sales, Production, Quality, and suppliers to ensure product availability and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Forecast purchasing needs and manage inventory levels.
- Source products from domestic and international suppliers.
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor market conditions.
- Coordinate imports, shipping, customs, and documentation.
- Maintain compliance and supplier certifications.
- Communicate inventory, shipment, and market updates to internal teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in the food industry required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- International purchasing/import experience preferred.
- Strong Excel, ERP, forecasting, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
