Anheuser-Busch is seeking a Safety Manager to support our Newburgh MCC Can Plant!Job ResponsibilitiesCreate and review strategic training plan for the site for both team members and leadership employees, focused on upskilling existing and new employees, and ensure that the sites strategy aligns with corporate guidelines and initiativesEnsure ownership and integration to drive sustainable EHS management systemsKnowledge & experience to provide effective training on all appropriate related topics including creating presentation material for specific audiences and speaking in front of a groupDevelopment of EHS improvement initiatives and the daily management of on-going EHS operationsProvide guidance to senior management team regarding the EHS strategic objectives and regulatory compliance issuesDirect activities to conduct investigations, identify root cause and recommend corrective measures for any and all environmental non-compliance incidentsRepresent the facility to external regulatory agenciesDirect activities to compile EHS information and other data as required by zone, local, state and federal agenciesCompletes reports and inspections required by zone, local, state and federal agenciesConducts assessments of regulatory impacts and EHS risks posed by project and process changesIdentify unsafe behaviors and unsafe conditions in the workplace using regulatory requirements & best safety practicesContribute to the overall needs and objectives of the siteTeam building – ability to involve employees and the leadership team in the processJob QualificationsBachelor of Science in Engineering, Science, Environmental/Safety, Business Management, or related discipline preferredBachelor's degree preferred in Safety, Environmental or other related disciplines3 years of safety/environmental experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to collaboratively work with all levels of the organizationAbility to work any and all shifts and provide 'on-call' coverage outside work hours and some weekends and holidaysStrong interpersonal and communication skills, strong leadership skills, a comfort level with change, and the ability to lead changeWorking knowledge of government regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)Ability to interpret regulatory requirements (federal, state and provincial) and apply them to the workplaceEffective decision making and a willingness to use available resources to accomplish goalsActs with integrity in all EHS matters to maintain EHS compliance and excellenceAbility to lead teams and facilitate effective meetingsInvestigative, analysis and problem-solving skillsExcellent Computer Skills – Microsoft OfficeAnheuser-Busch has always dreamed big.
