StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 Pay Rate: $179.45 - $194.25

This facility is seeking a Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: Days, nights, and weekends available. No call required.
• Total census per provider per shift: 20-24 patients rounded on daily; facility daily census approximately 50 patients with about 12 admissions per day.
• Procedures required: No procedures required; ability to perform procedures is preferred.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Not specified.
• Support: Full ancillary support available including Nursing, Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Laboratory, Pulmonology, and Cardiology services.
• Certifications and license required:
  • Florida Medical License (active)
  • Florida Drug Enforcement Administration registration (active)
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or applicable specialty
  • Minimum of 2 years of case history required for privileges
  • National Practitioner Data Bank Self-Query required
• Credentialing timeframe: Not specified.

Okeechobee is a city with a long name which has a lake by the same name that surrounds it, also known as “The Big O”. Lake Okeechobee is the largest freshwater lake in Florida. There is a famous National Scenic trail nearby the Lake which is well-maintained, with a paved pathway along the perimeter, used by hikers and bicyclists, and wide enough to accommodate special vehicles.
