Project Coordinator

Design and manage electric distribution projects for new and existing customers. Responsibilities include customer interaction, project management, field assessments, and system design using GE Smallworld (customized GIS). Tasks include transformer sizing, underground cable routing, and pole placement. Check SAP for new customer contacts. Field visits or computer-based design work. Weekly scheduling meetings (Mon/Tues) and team touchpoints (Thurs). Highly varied day-to-day tasks. Will support electric side and collaborate with service/gas designers. Primarily supports external customers (residential and commercial). Collaborative office environment with idea sharing. Mix of field and office work. Field work includes visits to residential, commercial, and construction sites. Performing several duties that include customer communications, project management, working with internal & external stakeholders, and managing a large number of projects at one time during different lifecycles of the design process. Will support electric side and collaborate with service/gas designers. Primarily supports external customers (residential and commercial). Collaborative office environment with idea sharing. Mix of field and office work. Field work includes visits to residential, commercial, and construction sites. Performing several duties that include customer communications, project management, working with internal & external stakeholders, and managing a large number of projects at one time during different lifecycles of the design process. Qualifications No specific degree required. Open to various backgrounds (construction, call center, police, etc.). Strong communication (verbal and written). Organizational and project management skills. Basic electrical knowledge or background. Familiarity with Microsoft Office. GIS/AutoCAD experience is a plus Desire to learn. People skills. Adaptability and independence. Experience in electrical or utility fields is a plus. Customer communication skills Demonstrate the ability to translate basic data or technical information into simple, easy-to-understand explanations for non-technical audiences (i.e., the "average customer"). Strong project management and customer service experience, with design experience as a secondary focus (design systems can be taught on the job).
