Summary

THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION FOR THE SALEM NUCLEAR OUTAGE

Performs the work required to maintain the RCA and non-RCA area buildings in a clean and orderly condition.

Job Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping and cleaning floors, walls, windows, ceilings, stairways and furniture in buildings, offices, locker rooms and bathrooms

• Cleaning and disinfecting floors and facilities in locker rooms and bathrooms

• Operating laundry machines

• Operating floor scrubbing machine and vacuum cleaners?

• Cleaning and making minor repairs to building cleaning equipment

• Distributing lavatory supplies

• Sorting and disposing of papers, trash and refuse

• Learning the approved methods of artificial respiration

• Operating Company passenger cars and Pick-Up type trucks or equivalent vehicles

• Must be able to perform job duties according to company's safety policy and procedures

• Incumbent may be required to work in contaminated and/or radiological controlled areas

• Perform less skilled work

• Ability to wear personal protection equipment if working in/with hazardous materials and/or waste

Job Qualifications

Must meet the Company's "General Requirements"; and, in addition:

• Able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

• Able to follow simple instructions and perform routine work.

• Be clean and neat in the performance of work.

• Trustworthy.

• Qualify for an auto driver's license to operate vehicles in the State of New Jersey.

• Must meet nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access.

• A valid Real ID or an approved form of alternate documentation (see is required for this position by May 7, 2027.

Unescorted Access

This role will require the successful candidate to obtain and maintain vital area Nuclear Plant Unescorted Access . To obtain Nuclear Plant Unescorted Access, the successful candidate will have to successfully complete: a satisfactory background investigation in addition to the Company's background investigation, which includes fingerprint and criminal history record check, reference checks, and education and employment verification; physical examination; psychological assessment; and nuclear plant access training requirements; and Fitness for Duty requirements, including both pre-placement and random drug/alcohol testing as part of the Company's requirement for a workforce that is free from the influence of foreign chemical substances as defined by federal law.

Some positions at PSEG require access to information covered by the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 (Part 810). If applicable, the successful applicant must prove they are: (1) a citizen or national of the USA; OR (2) a lawful permanent resident of the United States (Non-Conditional Permanent I-551 / Green Card / Permanent Resident Card holder); OR (3) a citizen, national, or permanent resident of a "Generally Authorized" destination on the attached list ( At PSEG/AppendixAtoPart810_ Title10) not also a citizen, national, permanent resident of any country not listed; OR (4) a "Protected Individual" under the Immigration and Naturalization Act (8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3)).
