The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the day-to-day management, financial performance, operations, and tenant satisfaction of a commercial real estate portfolio. This role is accountable for executing property strategies, achieving operating objectives, managing vendor and service provider relationships, and delivering exceptional service to clients and tenants.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing life science and laboratory facilities and a strong understanding of the operational, financial, and tenant service requirements associated with these environments.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned properties in accordance with JLL standards, procedures, and client objectives.
- Develop and manage annual operating budgets, forecasts, capital plans, and monthly financial reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee property operations, including maintenance, construction projects, life safety programs, vendor management, and regulatory compliance.
- Support life science and laboratory tenants by ensuring building infrastructure and operational requirements are effectively managed.
- Implement tenant engagement and satisfaction initiatives to deliver a best-in-class tenant experience.
- Manage competitive bidding processes, service contracts, and third-party vendor performance.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and accounting teams to ensure efficient property operations and financial performance.
- Assist with capital improvement projects, tenant improvement projects, and ownership initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required to meet property, client, and company objectives.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate or property management experience.
- Experience managing life science, laboratory, biotech, pharmaceutical, or R&D facilities preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing operating budgets, capital projects, and financial reporting.
- Strong client relationship management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of building operations, construction projects, and vendor management.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid Real Estate License or ability to obtain within the required timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as LEED GA, RPA, CPM, or equivalent industry credentials.
- Experience managing institutional ownership relationships and life science portfolios.
- Knowledge of laboratory infrastructure and critical building systems.

Estimated compensation for this position:
125,000.00 - 145,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
