Asset Management Analyst

Associate/Senior Real Estate Investment Management

An established real estate platform is looking to add an Associate/Senior to support both new investments and ongoing portfolio oversight. This position provides hands-on exposure to evaluating opportunities, executing transactions, and helping guide asset-level performance post-close. Working directly with senior team members, the role is designed for someone who can operate across both analytical and operational aspects of investing, contributing meaningfully in a fast-moving, team-oriented setting. This opportunity is well suited for individuals seeking a long-term path in real estate investment management, with involvement spanning from initial deal review through stabilized operations. The role is based in a large metropolitan market and may include occasional site visits.

Investment & Transaction Support

• Assess inbound opportunities and help prioritize those warranting deeper review
• Develop financial analyses to evaluate returns, sensitivities, and potential risks
• Compile insights on local market dynamics, supply/demand trends, and comparable assets
• Create internal materials to support investment decisions and capital allocation discussions
• Coordinate various moving pieces of the diligence process, working alongside external advisors and internal stakeholders
• Review proposed business strategies and capital deployment plans to identify key assumptions and execution challenges
• Maintain active engagement with intermediaries and market contacts to support deal sourcing efforts

Portfolio & Asset Oversight

• Track performance across assets, identifying variances to plan and areas requiring attention
• Analyze operating results, including revenue trends, expense levels, and leasing momentum
• Collaborate with operating partners to address challenges and implement improvement initiatives
• Contribute to forward-looking planning exercises such as annual budgets and longer-term forecasts
• Support initiatives aimed at enhancing asset value, whether through operational efficiencies, revenue optimization, or capital improvements
• Assist in ensuring adherence to financing requirements and stakeholder reporting obligations
• Produce analysis and reporting materials to inform internal decision-making and strategic discussions

The successful applicant will have:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience across real estate, finance, advisory, or a similar field
• Strong quantitative capabilities with the ability to translate analysis into actionable insights
• Advanced Excel proficiency; comfortable preparing polished presentation materials
• Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal
• Able to balance investment mindset with practical, operational considerations
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Proactive, intellectually curious, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment
• Exposure to affordable, multifamily or institutional real estate is beneficial but not required
