Logistics Specialist

Immediate need for a talented Logistics Specialist. This is a 06 months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Santa Ana, CA (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $35/hr - $42/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage orders from shipment through final delivery.
• Oversee end-to-end transportation operations.
• Perform in-transit check-and-trace activities.
• Verify Proof of Delivery (POD).
• Reconcile potential short pays on customer invoices.
• Manage 3PLs, 4PLs, and trucking vendors.
• Manage operational and vendor performance.
• Track and manage KPIs.
• Prepare reports and analyze transportation data.
• Work with raw data and create summaries, pivot tables, charts, and graphs.
• Support automation and process improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

• Logistics and transportation experience preferred.
• U.S. ground transportation experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
• Order management experience.
• Vendor management experience.
• KPI management and reporting experience.
• Ability to work with large amounts of raw data.
• Excel skills, including pivot tables, summaries, charts, and graphs.
• Experience with logistics systems and automation preferred.
• Candidates should be open-minded and willing to learn new automation technologies.
• Strong adaptability and willingness to learn.
• Accounting / Industry Knowledge
• Logistics and transportation industry knowledge preferred.
• Ground transportation experience preferred.
• Experience with 3PLs, 4PLs, and trucking vendors is beneficial.
• Knowledge of transportation operations, POD verification, invoice reconciliation, and short-pay reconciliation is helpful.
• Tools / Software
• Microsoft Excel
• DMS/WMS experience preferred.
• Experience with automation systems preferred.
