*Description*
This role is responsible for deploying, migrating, and supporting public safety platforms (CAD, RMS, and related applications) running on customer-owned infrastructure.
The field engineer acts as a generalist across servers, virtualization, operating systems, networking, storage, and application deployment. Much of the work follows standardized deployment procedures, but success depends heavily on troubleshooting skills and the ability to work directly with customer technical teams.
The team stages and configures infrastructure, deploys applications, performs hardware refreshes and migrations, restores databases, validates system functionality, and supports customers through cutover and transition activities. Engineers typically own 1-2 projects at a time and travel periodically for onsite deployments and migrations.

Successful candidates are typically "jack of all trades" infrastructure engineers rather than deep specialists.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $52.50/hr.
