Dropout Intervention Specialist (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

SUMMARY Collaborates with district staff, parents and students using culturally responsible strategies and interventions to encourage students to stay in school. This position works with the Drop Out Prevention Department to provide information to staff, students, and families as needed under the direct supervision of the Drop Out Prevention Administrator and/or Coordinator. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or a related field AND Two (2) years of experience working in social services, or adolescent prevention programs, or a related field OR Associate’s (or higher) degree or completion of two years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of study at an institution of higher learning AND Three (3) years experience working in social services, or adolescent prevention programs, or a related field OR Completion of an AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test AND Six (6) years experience working in social services, or adolescent prevention programs, or a related field Verbal and written communication skills in English, and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
