Join our Downstream Chemical Team Our Downstream Chemical Team uses technology consisting of chemistry, knowledge expertise, Intellectual Property, correct application methods and monitoring to improve the water and process treatment applications at refinery and industrial plants while providing value to our clients. Builds customer relationships to identify future requirements to help revenue growth. Leads and develops collaborative efforts to solve complex and unique technical problems. Provides technical guidance and mentorship to operations teams to enable safe and compliant service and support for our customer's needs. Internal Title: Sales Advisor - Sales Enabler Responsibilities Leading Water technical support efforts across existing accounts and new accounts with our key customer within North America to enable flawless execution through involvement in pre-planning, job execution, and post-job analysis Working closely with Service Delivery, Sales and Technology teams to design technical job programs including risk mitigation plans to meet customer's objectives and maximize revenue potential Providing on-demand support for cooling, boiler and wastewater applications in refineries including technical recommendations for new chemical applications Building trusting relationships and interfacing with key customers at both corporate and field facilities Identifying and collaborating with field team to drive projects, technical and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers Participating and providing technical leadership in industry forums Performing annual technical audits and health checks on all assigned accounts Providing support to Operations, Technology and Manufacturing for process technology portfolio as needed including roll out and application of new technologies in the field Providing technical presentation for customers and field personnel Performing job analysis to understand application hazards & incident potential Working on field incidents related to products/services and participate in incident investigation when required ensuring end to end process Taking on special projects including Product Line specific responsibilities, as assigned Qualifications Have a bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, (Chemical Engineering preferred) Have a minimum of 10+ years of Downstream refining experience/5+ years industrial water process/plants experience Have a solid understanding of cooling water, boiler and digital technologies as well as wastewater treatment plants and industry standards with 5+ years of field/operations/application support experience Be able to function independently as well as in a team environment Communicate effectively - able to convey complex technical concepts accurately and concisely to all individuals of all levels of experience both in a written and oral format Be available to travel up to 50% of the time Develop and provide technical mentorship to others Be available on call outside of normal business hours Be able to lead, plan, coordinate and deliver projects and programs successfully Flexible Working Patterns Starting early / finishing early Starting late / finishing late Flexibility within the day or week to get the job done Working with us Benefits Contemporary work-life balance policies and wellbeing activities Comprehensive private medical care options Safety net of life insurance and disability programs Tailored financial programs You will be eligible to participate in Company-sponsored benefit programs, including health & welfare programs and the Thrift Plan (401k).
