Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days Weekend Rotation EOW Holiday Requirements Travelers will work 75% of holidays Floating Requirements Region 3 RN – MedSurg/Telemetry Shift: 12-hour Nights (36 hours/week) Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Unit Overview 32-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit Average daily census: 32 patients First-time travelers accepted Minimum of 18 months of MedSurg/Telemetry RN experience required Patient Population Stroke Respiratory illnesses (Flu, Pneumonia, COVID-19) Renal failure Peritoneal dialysis Wound care patients General medical-surgical and telemetry patients Nurse-to-Patient Ratios RN: 1:5–6 (up to 1:7–8 during surge staffing) LPN: 1:5–6 (up to 1:7–8 during surge staffing) CNA: 1:10 Required Certifications Active RN license BLS ACLS NIHSS Required Skills Cardiac rhythm interpretation Management of non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone) Wound care Drain and tube management Peripheral IV insertion Central line management General MedSurg/Telemetry nursing skills Support & Resources CNA support Charge nurse support Phlebotomy services Vascular Access/IV Team Respiratory Therapy available 24/7 Hospitalist coverage 24/7 Intensivist coverage 24/7 Telemetry monitoring available EMR: Epic Floating Floating required based on operational needs within the region and within scope of practice.
