Accountant

Location: Plainview, Long Island, NY (On-Site) Industry: Manufacturing We are seeking a hands-on accounting professional to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will take ownership of the company’s daily financial operations , ensuring that transactions are accurate, reconciliations are complete, and the flow of financial information supports decision-making at all levels. What You’ll Be Doing: Own the full cycle of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable , including invoice processing, payment application, reconciliations, and record maintenance. Act as the primary liaison with vendors and customers, ensuring clear communication and prompt resolution of discrepancies. Lead the onboarding of new vendors and clients, setting up accounts and verifying documentation to maintain smooth operations. Drive the month-end close process , posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing supporting schedules. Monitor account activity and highlight irregularities or opportunities for improvement to management. Partner with internal teams to ensure financial data aligns with operational activity. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls as the organization grows. What We’re Looking For: 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting Proven ability to manage AR and AP from start to finish , with a focus on accuracy and timeliness Strong understanding of GAAP, account reconciliations, and internal control procedures Comfortable with accounting software; ERP system experience is highly desirable Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed, with the ability to handle multiple priorities Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset Please send your resume (in Word format) to View email address on click.appcast.io for immediate consideration.
