Automotive Service Advisor

We’re looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in automotive service, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage service workflows efficiently. Responsibilities The Service Advisor is responsible for ensuring an exemplary experience for the service customer by providing a prompt and friendly greeting, listening to their description of problems or services needed, preparing repair orders and being proactive, accurate and thorough in communication. The Service Advisor serves as a liaison between customer and technician ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the recommended service and/or repairs are understood by the customer. Prepare accurate Repair Orders showing time, cost and labor estimates, verifying warranty and service contracts and reviewing with clients. Promote the sale of labor, parts and accessories by providing explanation of estimates and obtaining approval for work that is sold. Follow the progress of service repairs and provide customers with timely updates. Ensure high levels of customer service and retention by promptly addressing and resolving customer complaints. Take ownership of the customer’s experience by completing extra tasks that contribute to leaving a positive impression at the dealership. Qualifications Required : Minimum of 2 years of prior Automotive Service Advisor experience in a dealership setting. Preferred : Knowledge of and comfort using CDK. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on problem-solving. Commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Compensation The estimated annual earnings for this position are $35,152.00 - $150,000.00 after factoring in all forms of compensation including hourly pay, commission, overtime, etc. Employees in this position will primarily be paid commissions based on performance but will also be paid minimum wage for non-sales work and for rest periods. Please keep in mind that this range may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
