Certified Medical Assistant

KANA’s standard work schedule is 37.5 working hours per week, typically consisting of 7.5 paid working hours per day plus a one‑hour unpaid lunch break (total of 8.5 hours on site per day). Multi‑skilled professional supporting a member of the care team. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth flow of patient services through joint planning and problem solving within clinical and office settings. Provides excellent customer service to patients, families, staff, and vendors. Responsibilities Supports the organization’s mission and goals, quality standards, and patient‑centered medical home philosophy. Upholds KANA’s Code of Ethics by conducting professional activities with honesty, integrity, respect, fairness, and dignity. Demonstrates good faith in a manner that respects the organization. Participates in team huddles, works with teammates to ensure appropriate planning, prepares treatment rooms and provides patient care. Delivers compassionate care, attentiveness, and assistance to patients and families. Welcomes and schedules patients in the exam room, prepares for appointments. Provides clinical review, assessment of patient conditions, and participates in patient care. Performs routine duties necessary to meet quality standards, including documentation, patient‑related records, and related activities. Provides patients with pertinent information and eventually encourages patient attendance. Ensures compliance with regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and quality measures. Maintains regulatory compliance and oversees processes such as medication, routine visits, and adherence to standards. Conducts examinations, assessments, and follows the plan of care, ensuring documentation and follow‑up communication. Monitors and maintains routine population health screening and reports as required by regulations. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to complete learning and clinical hours.
