Ongoing expansion efforts, including significant facility growth, reflect its continued investment in advanced care delivery and innovation.Position SummaryThe facility is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join its established Hospital Medicine team as a Nocturnist.Physicians will provide comprehensive inpatient care for hospitalized adult patients while working alongside a collaborative team of hospitalists, specialists, advanced practice providers, and support staff. The position offers strong specialty backup, modern hospital resources, and an opportunity to practice in a high-quality regional referral center.Essential Position ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive inpatient medical care to hospitalized adult patients during night shiftsPerform admissions, evaluations, and ongoing management of acute and chronic medical conditionsRespond to overnight patient care needs and coordinate appropriate treatment plansCollaborate with specialists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teamsManage patient transitions of care and ensure continuity of treatmentMaintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practicesSupport patient safety, clinical efficiency, and exceptional patient outcomesQualificationsEducationM.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency programLicensure & CertificationBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family MedicineEligible for or holding an active Alabama medical licenseCurrent ACLS certification preferredExperienceExperienced/New hospitalists encouraged to apply!Compensation and EnvironmentCompetitive base salary with additional nocturnist incentivesComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plansMalpractice coverageCME allowance plus paid CME timePaid time off and reimbursement for licenses and professional feesRelocation assistance availableModern hospital environment with strong specialist support and advanced clinical resources
