Job Title: Phlebotomist II Float
Job Duration: 2 months (possible extension)
Job Location: Fort Myers, FL 33908
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 5:30 pm and every Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm
- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
- Have direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
- Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.
- One - three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Customer service experience in a healthcare or retail setting (Preferred)
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Reliable personal transportation (public transportation, Uber, or rideshare not acceptable)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (Required)
- Eligible for mileage reimbursement when traveling between sites
- Must be punctual and ready to work at any assigned location within the coverage area
- Strong phlebotomy and patient interaction skills
- Independent and able to manage time effectively
- Flexible, adaptable, and dependable in changing environments
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
- Professional and patient-focused attitude
- This is a float position that will require frequent travel between patient service centers and in-office phlebotomy sites within the assigned region. Training locations may vary depending on trainer availability.
