This position focuses on maximizing equipment uptime, quality, rate, and yield through effective electrical and mechanical maintenance practices. This role is ideal for someone with strong electrical aptitude, advanced troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a heavy manufacturing environment./ph3What Youll Do/h3ulliPerform electrical maintenance on production equipment while following all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)./liliVerify all guards and safety devices are installed and functioning before returning equipment to operation./liliMonitor inventory levels of parts, tools, and supplies and place orders as needed./liliUtilize manual and computerized maintenance management systems to inspect, track, and report equipment status./liliRead and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics to diagnose and repair machinery./liliTroubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and quality-related issues, escalating when necessary./liliPerform breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment changeovers./liliIdentify and report safety, quality, operational, or output issues when unable to correct independently./liliObserve mechanical systems in operation and use precision instruments to diagnose problems./liliFabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment./liliMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company standards./liliOperate powered industrial trucks, overhead cranes, and portable cranes as required./liliSupport continuous improvement initiatives and participate in problem-solving activities./liliComply with OSHA safety standards, including hazard communication and ergonomic guidelines./liliPromote a culture of health and safety aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements./liliPerform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor./li/ulh3Who You Are/h3ulliMinimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in maintenance preferred./liliHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred; apprenticeship, journeyman training, military service, or equivalent mechanical/electrical training preferred./liliProficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and technical drawings./liliStrong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical systems and PLCs./liliAbility to communicate effectively in English and perform basic math calculations./liliDemonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment./liliAbility to pass job-related testing, an employment physical, and a drug screening./liliStrong teamwork skills with a collaborative mindset./li/ulh3Physical Abilities/h3ulliAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds./liliAbility to stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shift./liliAbility to bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, and reach in all directions./liliAbility to meet additional physical demands required to safely perform job duties./li/ulh3What Youll Get/h3pZekeman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
