Senior Financial Systems Analyst: SQL Reporting & Data Optimization

We are seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst (in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Sarasota, Jacksonville, or Tallahassee) with deep experience supporting financial applications and enterprise financial systems. This role will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for supporting, enhancing, and optimizing financial systems across Finance, Accounting, Billing, and IT functions. This position will play a key role in financial data management, reporting, analytics, system integrations, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with financial systems administration, SQL-based reporting, data integrity, and translating business requirements into technical solutions. Essential Functions Financial Reporting, Data & Integrations Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and SSRS reports to support financial reporting requirements. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across financial systems and integrated applications. Partner with Finance leadership to enhance reporting capabilities, including dashboards, KPIs, and profitability analysis. Support data warehouse initiatives and optimize data models for financial applications. Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis, and insights for Finance, Accounting, and leadership teams. Configure, support, and enhance enterprise financial applications, including billing, collections, time entry, and financial management modules. Customize forms, workflows, inquiries, and system rules using financial application tools. Troubleshoot application issues and resolve complex reporting, integration, and data discrepancies. Support system upgrades, patches, enhancements, and new module implementations in partnership with IT teams and vendors. Maintain system access, user security, and data governance standards. Systems Modernization & Project Work Participate in testing, implementation, and deployment of financial systems and third-party integrations. Support system optimization, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and enhance system performance. Document system specifications, data mapping, procedures, and troubleshooting processes. Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional and technical solutions. Required Skills & Abilities Strong proficiency with SQL Server, stored procedures, SSRS, and data modeling. Experience with data warehouse concepts, ETL processes, and optimized data structures. Experience supporting and customizing enterprise financial applications. Strong understanding of financial operations including billing, accounting, reporting, and data workflows. Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions. Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 8+ years of experience supporting financial systems within a professional services, corporate, or enterprise environment. Extensive hands-on experience with financial application configuration, support, reporting, and integrations. Experience working with legal/professional services financial systems preferred. Experience with enterprise reporting and analytics solutions preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
