Senior Database/SQL Developer

Overview Senior Database/SQL Developer responsible for maintenance, support, enhancement, and development of new database solutions. The role requires deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, database architecture, performance tuning, T-SQL development, and cloud-based data solutions, preferably within Microsoft Azure. Primary tasks include working with multiple SSIS packages, stored procedures, Azure Data Factory pipelines, and SSRS reports. Position Title: Senior Database/SQL Developer Location: Miami, FL Duration: 3+ months contract to hire Compensation: $55.00 - 65.00/hr Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S. Key Responsibilities Design, development, and maintenance of complex SQL databases, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and Azure Data Factory pipelines. Analyze existing database structures and recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and reliability. Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to implement robust data solutions. Optimize and troubleshoot queries, indexing strategies, and database bottlenecks. Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with internal and external standards. Reverse engineer existing code to understand and develop requirements. Collaborate with software developers and system architects to optimize database usage and support application development. Qualifications Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in SQL Development. Expertise in SQL Server 2016 T-SQL, performance tuning, query optimization, and database design. Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as SSIS and Azure Data Factory. Familiarity with source control systems like Git, Microsoft DevOps. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
