Job Description:
As a Product Manager, you will lead the modernization of a critical enterprise application, driving product strategy, roadmap planning, requirements management, and delivery execution. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, architects, and vendors to ensure the solution meets business objectives while adhering to security, accessibility, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the application modernization initiative.

• Gather, document, prioritize, and manage business requirements, user stories, and product backlog items.

• Translate business needs into clear acceptance criteria and actionable development requirements.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, UX/UI teams, and vendors to define technical solutions and platform strategies.

• Prioritize features, enhancements, and technical work based on business value, risk, and dependencies.

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

• Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile activities.

• Define and track product success metrics, KPIs, and delivery outcomes.

• Support change management, user adoption, training, and implementation activities.

• Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues while providing status updates and recommendations to leadership.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• Proven experience managing enterprise application modernization or digital transformation initiatives.

• Strong experience gathering, documenting, and prioritizing business and functional requirements.

• Expertise in product roadmap development, backlog management, and Agile product ownership practices.

• Ability to create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements documentation.

• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, developers, UX designers, and external vendors.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and product delivery processes.

• Experience defining KPIs, success metrics, and data-driven product strategies.

• Knowledge of enterprise application architecture, integrations, security, accessibility (WCAG), and compliance requirements.

• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage competing priorities, mitigate risks, and drive successful product outcomes in complex environments.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
