Apex has an opportunity for an ETL Developer to join our team in a fast-paced Financial Services industry client on an exciting project!

Position: ETL Developer (SQL) Location: Remote Term: 5+ Months (long term potential)

Description:

The Capital Analytics group is responsible for delivering a capital allocation framework to substantiate forward-looking risk-reward measures to actively manage the Banks portfolios. The team is currently undertaking a multi-year build out of a new profitability database, new reporting, and new metrics. Role requires working with large datasets, working with reporting platforms, and strong quantitative skills. Opportunities including working with LOBs, senior management, and across a wide number of teams.

Responsibilities:

• ETL Developer will utilize SQL skills to create data-sets and transfer to the parent companies server environment.
• In addition to banking industry knowledge, any exposure to the following would be advantageous: capital analytics framework; including development/support of an internal deal evaluation tool, portfolio reporting, economic capital reporting, and profitability analyses.
• Coordinates with other groups for the improvement of the required parameters to support capital allocation framework and for the implementation of the required infrastructure and platform.
• Conducts periodic methodological benchmarks and gap assessments of current capital management processes against academic studies and papers, leading and emerging industry practices and changes in regulatory expectations.
• Specifies and maintains the data model, data base, and platform required for the execution of the methodology.
• Interacts with T&O and IT for the collection and warehousing of data with the required quality.
• Implements robust data transmission framework and periodically executes returns models on international servers.
• Improves existing manual processes by leveraging various automation and optimization tools with an aim toward gaining efficiencies and eliminating human error.

Required Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in a quantitative discipline.
• 3-5 years ETL Development Experience in a Banking institution
• Strong SQL skills.
• Tableau
• Familiar w/SAS & VBA
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
