Benefits and Retirement* This job could be at various locationsPurpose: Plan, develop, coordinate and manage specific construction craft activities for EPC projects.Assist in execution plan development. Responsible for development and implementation of craft workpackaging.Additional Compensation: Per Diem will be included in pay and determined on a project by project basis.Trips home will be provided; when applicable. (This information will be furtherexplained in the Samuel EPC Employee Exempt Handbook)Pay rates: Salary rate will not escalate due to additional hours worked. Pay rate will be determined for aproject and will remain at said rate regardless of hours worked. Assignment to Home Office work will havea different pay rate than rate established for field assignments.Work Schedule: Varies by location. Must have open availability any time, any day of the week.Essential Skills (may include but are not limited to the ability to)Work closely with Construction Manager, Site Safety Representative, and Site QualityRepresentative to implement and adhere to project safety and quality programs.Plan, coordinate and/or supervise construction activities of site foremen, craft employees,and field engineers on assigned project.Well versed in respective craft knowledge, and specifications in making a successful craftdepartment.Present knowledge of planning, and be able to articulate equipment needs, materialneeds, personnel needs and testing required for successful department.Interface with Construction Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, clientrepresentatives, and subcontractors to ensure all company, client, and project policiesand procedures are adhered to.Interface with Construction Manager, General Superintendent, and Project Engineer asnecessary to review constructability of design with the goal of meeting quality, cost andschedule commitments.Interface with all project team members as required in the establishment of projectschedules and resolving schedule problems as well as insuring successful quality, safety,budget, and performance.Represent company and project team during bid process, project scope development,client meetings and project management meetings.Work with in precise limits and standards of accuracy.Participate with Construction Manager/General Superintendent in following construction flow,schedule, manning of personnel, and budgets as well as safety and quality goals.Able to fill out work progress updates on site scheduled timeframe.Able to forecast material or personnel needs and fill out requisitions before items/people areneeded on site.Communicate well with other superintendents and site management about needs, obstacles,concerns or issues on the job site.- Work within company policy as outlined in the Samuel EPC Exempt Employee Handbook,compliant with the Samuel EPC Human Resources Policy Manual, and with the Samuel EPC SafetyManual and OSHA Safety rules.Follow oral and written directions and perform other duties as assigned by the ConstructionManager, General Superintendent, and Project Engineer as needed. Essential QualificationsSeven (7) years of formal training and experience in heavy industrial projects such asrefineries, petro-chemical complexes, power plants, etc.Familiar with construction methods, techniques, and labor requirements and how theyapply to industrial construction projects.Ability to effectively interact with project team members, craft employees, clients, andsubcontractors.Possess excellent leadership skills and have the ability to effectively manage craftemployees, budgets, and construction schedules.Preferred knowledgeable of current construction technology such as Primavera P6,Microsoft Word, Excel and PDF modification programs such as Bluebeam or Adobe.Prefer to be capable of obtaining applicable state construction licenses if required.Must have had previous hands-on job foreman experience.Physical RequirementsStand or walk for long periods of timeUse arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objectsLift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50pounds with assistanceClimb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects while carrying tools and equipmentStoop, kneel, crouch and crawlSee well (naturally or with correction)Eye-hand coordinationGood physical fitnessGood sense of balanceWork at great heightsTool RequirementsNone
