Job Title: Practice Assistant

Location: Seattle, 98101

Salary/Payrate: $65K-$85K

Work Environment: Hybrid, (3 days in office/up to 2 remote) after 4 month ramp up

Term: Direct Hire

Bachelor’s degree required: Yes

Referral Fee: AMS will pay $500 should the person you refer gets hired

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client, an esteemed law firm, is looking for a Practice Assistant to join their Seattle team.

Key Responsibilities

Matter Coordination: Open files, run conflict checks, track deals/cases, manage timelines, and organize closing documents
Client & Documents: Draft summaries, proofread legal materials, manage files, coordinate communications, track contracts
Billing & Finance: Review invoices, support billing cycles, release time entries, process expenses
Administrative Support: Manage calendars, schedule meetings, arrange travel, support attorneys and leadership initiatives
Business Development: Assist with RFPs, proposals, marketing content, and industry research
Operations: Collaborate across teams, maintain systems, support onboarding, and coordinate events

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree + 3+ years supporting senior professionals (law firm preferred)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and deadline-driven
Strong communication, interpersonal, and client service skills
Tech-savvy (Microsoft Office, Adobe, document management tools)
Knowledge of legal/financial terminology preferred
