Responsibilities: Provide individual therapy and counseling sessions to patients dealing with mental health concerns related to chronic illness and endocrine disorders Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop personalized treatment plans Collaborate with physicians, endocrinologists, and medical staff to deliver integrated, whole-patient care Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards Offer crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed Support patients in developing coping strategies, stress management skills, and behavioral health goals Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations Requirements: Active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in the state of Florida Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field Experience providing individual therapy in a clinical or medical setting preferred Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or motivational interviewing Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary medical team Excellent communication, empathy, and patient-centered care skills Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems About Us: Dr. Mae Sheikh Ali Endocrine Center is a trusted specialty medical practice in Jacksonville, FL, dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate care to patients with endocrine and hormonal health conditions.
