JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Physician Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM) Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Alexandria, LA Service Setting: Hospital Emergency Department Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: November 1, 2025 Ongoing (minimum 6+ month assignment) Clinical Shift Schedule: Physician:MonWed: 7a5p, 10a8p, 3p1a, 4p12a, 8p7a,ThursSun: 7a5p, 10a9p, 4p2a, 8p7a APPs:MonFri: 6a6p, 8a7p, 12p11p, 6p6a SatSun: 6a6p, 9a9p, 6p6a PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults Patient Volume/Census: 49,500 annual visits ( 135/day) Admissions: 22% EMS Percentage: 30% FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 42 ED beds Trauma Level: Not specified EMR System: Meditech (transitioning to Epic March 2025) Specialty Backup Available: Robust backup specialties on-site Scribe Coverage: 10 hrs/day Staffing Model:Physicians (MDDO): 49 hours MonWed; 42 hours SatSun ( 3.5 FTE, 42 shifts/month) APPs (NP/PAs): 46 hours MonFri; 36 hours SatSun Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 90 days Expedited Privileges: No temporary privilege
