North Texas Infectious Diseases Consultants (NTIDC) is looking for an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team! This is a great opportunity for a motivated healthcare professional who enjoys providing hands-on patient care while working closely with physicians, patients, pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare partners. What You'll Do As a Medical Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting our patients and clinical team. Your responsibilities will include: * Preparing patients for physician visits and assisting with clinical procedures * Providing hands-on clinical support, including injections, lab draws, sterile dressings, and other patient care * Managing prescription refill requests and updating medication records * Scheduling diagnostic testing and assisting with insurance pre-certifications * Coordinating patient assistance medications with pharmaceutical companies * Communicating with patients, families, physicians, pharmacies, and hospital personnel * Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record * Assisting with disability paperwork and other patient documentation * Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment * Assisting with front-office responsibilities such as scheduling, phones, and filing when needed * Participating in ongoing education, training, and performance improvement activities What We're Looking For * Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program * Current certification through a nationally recognized certification program * 1-2 years of Medical Assistant/medical technician experience preferred * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Comfortable working directly with patients and healthcare professionals * Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail * Basic computer skills and the ability to learn electronic medical record systems Why You'll Love This Role If you're looking for a position where you can make a difference in patients' lives, work alongside experienced healthcare professionals, and use a wide range of clinical skills , we'd love to meet you!
