Position : Tester Location : Menands, NY (Hybrid) Shift : Negotiable daily work hours (strongly prefer starting between 7:30 and 9:00 am through 4:00 or 5:30pm). Pay Rate : $32 - $34/ hr Job Summary Act as a QA Tester leading testing efforts across WCB applications and projects, including P4 ECAE/CIS Modernization, P2 eForms, P5 ECR, and ORPS Modernization. Responsible for uncovering and investigating defects, identifying root causes, and generating detailed reports for WCB ITS Business Solutions and other stakeholders. Assess overall application quality by executing manual, automated, and performance testing using a variety of QA tools. Ensure defects are clearly documented, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of software reliability and performance. Job Description Create and maintain test plans, test strategy documents, test scripts, test cases, test scenarios, and test matrices for WCB applications Perform test and defect management using tools such as HP ALM and JIRA Support QA activities across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring testing milestones and deadlines are met Execute test cases, analyze results, and generate detailed reports for stakeholders Estimate testing effort for projects and develop plans to ensure timely delivery of testing milestones Design and execute automated test cases and suites for functional and regression testing using tools such as UFT and Selenium with automation frameworks Perform back-end testing, including data validation, data analysis, data migration, and execution of SQL queries Conduct integration testing and execute automation suites within CI/CD pipelines Perform web services and API testing using SOAP UI, Postman, and REST APIs with Rest Assured (Java) Participate in performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad; develop performance test plans, scripts, and test data; analyze bottlenecks, baselines, and scalability Develop automation scripts for native mobile applications using Appium Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with ADA Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 standards Perform script updates and maintenance using programming languages such as Java, VB, and JavaScript Job Qualifications 7 years of experience in creating and executing automated test scripts and comprehensive test suites for functional and regression testing. Experience in using automation tools like Selenium or Cypress across multiple applications, with expertise in implementing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks 7 years of experience in performance testing with JMeter, LoadRunner, and NeoLoad. Expert in developing and executing performance test plans and scripts, preparing test data, identifying and analyzing performance bottlenecks, establishing baselines, and assessing system scalability to ensure optimal application performance 3 years performing Web services testing using SOAP UI /Postman API testing tools & REST assured. 3 years of experience as a SQL and database migration tester with back-end testing expertise, specializing in data validation, SQL query development, ensuring data integrity, and supporting seamless system migrations. Required Skills/Certifications Authorized to work in the US.
