ONSITE ROLE - NON-REMOTE/NON-HYBRID Location: Wurth USA - 93 Grant St, Ramsey, NJ 07446. Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm ET Monday-Friday. Compensation: ~80k annually, based on experience Position Summary Würth USA is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support key accounting functions, including month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting support, audit coordination, and process improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards, and supporting the Controller in achieving departmental objectives. Key Responsibilities Mentor and provide guidance to junior and staff accountants. Post payroll-related journal entries and collaborate with Human Resources to calculate payroll accruals. Ensure adherence to company policies and all applicable confidentiality and privacy regulations, including PAP requirements. Lead the full accounting cycle, including monthly close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of monthly profit and loss statements with variance analysis against budget and forecasts. Prepare and submit periodic financial reports required by headquarters through CIS. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end CAPEX reporting and analysis, and assist with CAPEX budget planning. Assist with the preparation of PIV and EVP/commitment presentations. Implement, monitor, and maintain effective internal controls. Prepare, review, and validate balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations. Support annual budget preparation and ongoing forecasting processes. Assist with administration and reporting related to the company fleet program. Support mid-year and year-end intercompany reconciliations, including preparation and posting of Period 13 journal entries. Assist with the preparation of tax worksheets for mid-year and year-end financial close activities. Coordinate internal and external audits and provide required documentation and support to auditors. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls. Lead or participate in special projects and other assignments as directed by management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Solid understanding of internal controls and financial processes. Working knowledge of current tax regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
