Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) in Milwaukee, WI. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy acute care hospital, managing a variety of medical conditions, and supporting patients' recovery and well-being. The role requires adaptability and proficiency in telemetry monitoring, patient documentation, and clinical skills pertinent to the unit's diverse patient population. Job Details: Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, current BLS certification, 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, Wisconsin licensure or compact license preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in telemetry, observation unit, admissions and discharges, and fast-paced environments. Float: Float rotation may be required. Additional Information: Support on the unit includes a charge nurse, unit secretary, hospitalist, RT, and centralized telemetry monitoring with tele tech. Charting system used is EPIC, with equipment including Alaris, Pyxis, and GE monitors. Orientation includes 4-8 hours of clinical onboarding, with NEO orientation during dayshift, and a meet-and-greet with educational staff. Schedule planning occurs every 6 weeks, with holidays expected on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. RTO approval of up to 7 days; additional days require email approval. Scrub color is flexible, no camo or denim. Must document pain levels before and after medication administration, ensuring proper scoring and orders for medication administration as necessary.
