Senior Consultant @ Selby Jennings | University of Southern California Alum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis preferred Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Advanced technical proficiency, including MS Office applications Skilled in accounting software and highly proficient in Excel Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Familiarity with statutory accounting requirements is a plus A collaborative attitude with humility and team spirit Dedication to delivering exceptional customer experiences in every interaction Key Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile statutory accounting records in compliance with regulations and standards Prepare accurate, timely financial statements for statutory reporting Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to collect and validate financial data Assist in audit preparation and support external auditors during reviews Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Stay informed on changes in statutory accounting regulations to ensure compliance Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented environment Participate in special projects and perform ad‑hoc financial analyses as needed Conduct in-depth analytics on statutory reporting and prepare management discussion and analysis Develop summary reports and agendas based on analytical findings Prepare and reconcile State Premium Stop‑Loss recovery billing Perform general ledger activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, to support monthly close processes Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Selby Jennings by 2x.
