The Role A Business Partner Manager (BPM) is the face of InStride Surfaces in their territory. You own every Business Partner relationship in your region, from first walk-in to core supplier. You support our Business Partners - the showroom owners and sales teams - and the homeowners they serve. Choosing flooring is a significant investment in a home. Your role is to give our Business Partners the product knowledge, tools, and support to help homeowners choose an InStride floor with confidence. This is a field role. You will spend most of your week in showrooms: opening new Business Partners, placing and maintaining our displays, training sales teams, and bringing their feedback straight back to us. Every BPM has a direct line to our CEO, and what you hear in the field drives what we build next. Location: Seattle metropolitan area, Washington. Field-based role with regular travel throughout the assigned Washington territory. Reports to: VP of Sales Type: Full-time What You Will Do Grow the territory Prospect and open new brick-and-mortar flooring experts that fit our standards and our Business Partner model Build and work a disciplined prospecting plan, with steady new-store activity every week Grow existing Business Partner accounts from their first order to making InStride a core supplier. Own the showroom floor Place, set, and maintain our display towers so every Business Partner's InStride presentation is current and complete Keep samples stocked, visuals fresh, and new SKUs placed as they launch Drive monthly display activation across your accounts Equip showroom teams to guide homeowners Deliver product knowledge presentations (PKs) to showroom sales teams, consistently and often Teach our story: substrate to visual to texture, locked visuals, TrueGrain EIR tooling Bring our colors to life - not just our specifications - so sales teams can help homeowners envision our floors in their homes Give sales teams the confidence and answers to settle every doubt before it becomes buyer's remorse Help Business Partners close jobs with samples, specs, pricing, and quick answers Be the voice of our Business Partners Listen in every showroom and bring that feedback to our leadership team Report on territory activity, sales velocity, and opportunities in our CRM Bring back install stories and project photos that become proof for the next Business Partner Resolve issues fast and own the follow-up until it is closed Protect the brand Represent InStride with integrity in every interaction Uphold our pricing structure and partner programs exactly as designed Who You Are Required 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience in flooring or related building materials, with experience selling to flooring retailers or showrooms Established relationships with flooring retailers, showroom owners, or buyers in the assigned territory A track record of opening accounts and growing them, with numbers to show it Comfortable presenting to sales teams and showroom owners Self-directed and organized: you plan your week, work your plan, and report on it Willing to travel throughout your territory, including overnight trips Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record Able to lift and move display towers and sample boxes up to 50 lbs Preferred Experience selling resilient flooring, carpet, hardwood, tile, or other products to independent flooring retailers Working knowledge of SPC, WPC, laminate, and installation methods CRM experience How you work You understand that flooring is an emotional purchase, and you sell the feeling as well as the floor You take coaching and act on it You own your mistakes and fix them fast You protect the reputation of the brand you represent, every time What We Offer Annual base salary: $80,000 - $110,000, plus commission. The base salary offered will depend on relevant flooring industry experience, demonstrated sales performance, established dealer relationships, and territory responsibilities.
