Thesepositions support the following program: Naval Special Warfare Group ONE(NSWG-1), MSOFS 2.0 Support Services, N7 Task Order, which provides budget andfinancial management, analysis, and reporting support for NSWG-1's TotalObligation Authority (TOA). The positions are 100% on-site at NSW Group ONEfacilities in San Diego, CA and are contingent on task order award, with ananticipated start at the beginning of the base period on 30 September 2026. Our client is a boutiqueconsulting firm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skillsets to support the federal government with strategic execution, financialprocess enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) softwareimplementation. What will you do Perform budget and financialmanagement, analysis, and reporting functions in support of NSWG-1's TotalObligation Authority (TOA). Working on-site and closely with NSW Group ONEstaff and department heads, you will develop spend plans for annual and multi-yearbudget submissions, monitor budget execution, analyze execution trends anddeliver data-driven recommendations to leadership, compile financial data fromjoint and service-level financial databases into recurring and ad-hoc budgetreports, prepare budget exhibits on prescribed DoD templates, and analyze andprocess funding requests for fiscal compliance. This role suits a DoD budgetprofessional who is intimately familiar with current military concepts andprocedures and consistently delivers complete, accurate products within Commandsuspense dates. Responsibilities: Develop spend plans to support annual and multi-yearbudget submissions in accordance with NSWG-1 timelines. Monitor budget execution to identify spending trends,potential shortfalls, or surpluses, ensuring the proper and legal use of funds. Analyze execution trends and deliver data-drivenrecommendations to leadership to ensure NSWG-1 meets established Commandobligation targets. Compile financial data from joint and service-levelfinancial databases to prepare recurring and ad-hoc budget reports.Deliverables must be complete, accurate, and submitted within establishedCommand suspense dates. Prepare budget exhibits utilizing prescribed DoDtemplates, ensuring all supporting documentation provides sufficientjustification to defend budget submissions. Analyze and process funding requests, verifying fiscalcompliance (e.g., proper color of money, bona fide need rule) and assigning thecorrect financial accounting structure in accordance with local business rules. Work closely with NSW Group ONE staff and departmentheads to ensure completion of all assigned tasks, and draft reports, managespreadsheets, and build briefings using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel,and PowerPoint). Requirements: Active SECRET security clearance at the start of thetask order (U.S. citizenship required). Minimum four (4) years of specialized experience in DoDbudget planning and formulation, or a related budget field, that equipped youwith the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the positionsuccessfully. Financial Manager qualifications in accordance with theDoD Financial Management Certification Program Handbook (DoD FM CertificationProgram). Intimate familiarity with current military concepts andprocedures. Valid U.S.'driver's license, maintained throughoutemployment. Ability to operate standard Government-furnished ITequipment, including PCs, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office(Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) to draft reports, manage spreadsheets,and build briefings. Prior experience in a Navy, USSOCOM, or Naval SpecialWarfare comptroller, resource management, or budget office, whether as aservice member, DoD civilian, or contractor. Hands-on experience with DoD and Navy financial systemsand databases used for budget execution and reporting (for example, Navy ERP,PBIS, or DAI). Experience preparing DoD budget exhibits andjustification materials in support of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, andExecution (PPBE) process, and briefing budget execution to senior leadership.
