Job Opportunity

Position: Travel RN - Operating Room

Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

Location: McKinney, TX

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room with a requirement of one on-call day per week and one weekend per month.

Unit Information

  • Number of Beds: 7 Operating Room Suites
  • Number of Staff: 45
  • Staff Composition: RNs, CSTs, Ancillary support staff
  • Day Shift Staffing:

    • 1 Charge RN
    • 6-7 RNs
    • 6-7 CSTs
    • Orderly
    • Anesthesia Technicians
  • Night Shift Staffing:

    • 1 RN
    • 1 CST
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1 (Estimated)
  • Electronic Medical Record System: Meditech
Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • General/Trauma Operating Room skills
  • Experience in the Operating Room (Labor & Delivery experience is not applicable)
  • Neuro and Ortho/Spine experience
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
Preferred Skills:
  • Trauma center experience
  • Ortho experience
Common Procedures Performed

Ideal Candidate

Work Requirements

The call requirement for this position averages around 10 days per month, with a maximum of 15 days for CVOR positions. Operating Room CSTs are required for on-call duty approximately once per week and one weekend per month.

Dress Code

Candidates are required to change into hospital-provided scrubs daily.
