The Staff Accountant will ensure the integrity of the accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. WHAT YOU’LL OWN: Troubleshooting and Reconciliations 30% of time Provide support with monthly detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts Reconcile general ledger, subledgers, and activity Transactional Processing 30% of time Create and process journal entries; including prepaid schedules and accruals Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules and provide support with filing necessary tax filings Process Management 30% of time Maintain and adhere to month-end and year-end closing processes and deadlines Provide support with creating, documenting, maintaining, and optimizing various accounting processes and financial controls in accordance with GAAP Cross- Functional Collaboration 10% of time Maintain and adhere to month-end and year-end closing processes and deadlines Provide support with creating, documenting, maintaining, and optimizing various accounting processes and financial controls in accordance with GAAP WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required 1-2 years of related experience in a corporate finance office, preferably in Consumer Packaging Goods Understanding and knowledge of GAAP ERP Experience Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT: Strong critical thinking ability to navigate and solve complex problems Solid work ethic, self-starter, and result-oriented Natural ability to develop strong, trusting relationships Enjoys collaborating with cross-functional partners Responsible and a high degree of ownership Thrives in an ever-changing work environment Effectively managing a multitude of work responsibilities Balances attention to detail and swift execution WHAT WE DO: We manufacture Yogi and Choice Organics brand products.
