Job Description As a Security Officer Security Clearance Patrol Specialist in Arlington, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $24.60 / Hour Job Schedule Day / Time: Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense‑related location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting details and reporting security‑related concerns to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security‑related issues. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and support compliance with location rules for controlled access areas. Communicate with site contacts, employees, and/or first responders during routine operations or critical situations, while following Allied Universal post orders and client‑directed procedures. Minimum Requirements Applicants must have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. An active DoD Secret Clearance is required. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
