Description Seeking Full-Time Certified English Teacher for 2026-2027 ELA grades 4-8 or certificate in English 6-12 Starting Salary: $59,149/year + Additional Compensation for higher certification levels Schedule: M-F 8-5pm Devereux Georgia provides intensive residential treatment in a secure setting for youth, ages 10 to 21, who are facing significant emotional, behavioral and intellectual/developmental challenges. Our beautiful campus located in a serene, wooded setting offers a swimming pool, volleyball court, tennis court, playing field, lake and playground, which allow our youth the opportunity to enjoy plenty of outdoor activities. Within our secure treatment setting, we provide an on-campus, K-12 accredited school, Ackerman Academy. Our school is designed to help students achieve academic success with an individualized curriculum and low teacher-to-student ratio. Modified School Schedule: Teachers follow a modified district calendar. Our teachers work additional days during Fall and Winter Breaks, as well as 15 days during May/June for Summer Enrichment. During inclement weather, staff are expected to report to work (keeping in mind safety), while some districts may have either Virtual Learning or School Closure. Qualifications Requirements: Must be 21+ Valid Driver's License Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred Georgia Teaching certification: Social Studies certification 6-12, Special Education Teaching Certification SPED preferred Two (2) years teaching experience preferred Schedule: Initial new hire paid training: 2 weeks M-F, 8:30a - 5:30p located in Kennesaw, GA Post training: School located in Lawrenceville, M-F 8-5p Devereux conducts a very thorough background check process to ensure the safety of the children in our care.
