Manager - State & Local Tax (SALT)

A prominent firm is seeking an experienced SALT Manager to enhance its expanding state and local tax practice. This position emphasizes income and franchise tax compliance, strategic planning, and advisory services for middle‑market and multi‑state entities. Responsibilities Lead SALT engagements, perform meticulous reviews of tax returns, conduct comprehensive tax research, and advise clients on various state tax implications, nexus determinations, and tax optimization strategies. Identify potential risks, support clients during audits, and assist them in navigating the increasingly complex landscape of state tax regulations. Direct interaction with clients and senior leadership, presenting a robust opportunity to deepen advisory expertise while maintaining strong technical proficiency. Qualifications A valid US CPA designation is mandatory. 5–8 years of specialized experience in SALT. In-depth knowledge of income and franchise tax. Demonstrated experience with multi‑state tax issues. Strong capabilities in tax research and analysis. Proven track record in client advisory roles.
