Electrical Engineer

To support utility and transmission clients nationwide, the fully remote contract-to-hire Florida Licensed Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee and execute the design of protection and control systems for medium to high-voltage substations, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring high-quality standards throughout project lifecycles. Key responsibilities Lead and review the design of protection and control systems for substations (15kV-500kV) Develop detailed design packages including diagrams, schematics, and construction documentation Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure project success Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited program Professional Engineer (PE) license required 8+ years of experience in substation protection and controls design Proficiency in developing and reviewing high-voltage substation protection systems diagrams Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, NEC, and NESC
