Caregiver – Weekday & Weekend Parkinson's Care Giver Senior Helpers – W. Cuyahoga & E. Lorain Counties, OH
Senior Helpers of Cuyahoga West is seeking experienced, compassionate caregivers to support clients living with Parkinson’s disease . We are hiring for weekday and weekend shifts , with flexible scheduling options available.
This role is ideal for caregivers who are confident, patient, and knowledgeable in providing specialized care while promoting safety, dignity, and independence.
Pay Rate:
- $16.00 – $20.00 per hour , based on experience, skills, and client needs
Schedule:
- Weekdays and weekends
- Flexible shifts available:
- Morning
- Afternoon
- Overnight (as needed)
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on care for clients with Parkinson’s disease
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Support mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
- Provide medication reminders and observe symptom changes
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Communicate clearly with clients, families, and Senior Helpers office staff
- Accurately document care and report any changes in condition
Requirements:
- Previous experience caring for clients with Parkinson’s disease (required)
- Prior caregiving experience (home care or facility preferred)
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and attentive to detail
- Ability to follow individualized care plans and work independently
