The Johns Hopkins Hospital Meyer 6 Geriatric Psychiatry/Pain Treatment Unit provides specialized care for medically complex geriatric patients with severe mood and neuropsychiatric disorders, as well as individuals with intractable pain conditions. This unique unit includes 9 geriatric psychiatry beds, 11 pain treatment beds, and two partial hospitalization programs serving as step-down services. Nurses deliver comprehensive care focused on symptom management, psychological support, and improving physical functioning in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities The Lead Clinical Nurse (RN) provides guidance and direction to staff and acts in the absence of the Assistant Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager to oversee a clinical team during care delivery and unit operations. Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required. BLS CPR certification required. 3 years of RN work experience preferred. Ability to lead others, assist in development & implementation of procedures for the unit, use principles of conflict resolution, recommend resource utilization, and implement performance management of staff. Salary Range Minimum $47.96/hour – Maximum $74.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
