Caring Transitions of Peachtree City is a locally owned and operated business helping seniors and families navigate some of life's biggest transitions. We provide downsizing, decluttering, relocation, packing, organizing, estate liquidation, and other services that make challenging transitions easier and more manageable.
We're currently  building our team from the ground up , and we're looking for dependable, hardworking, personable people who want to be part of something we're growing. This is an opportunity to join us early, learn the business, develop new skills, and potentially grow into additional responsibilities and leadership roles as the company expands.
What Makes This Job Different?
This isn't a traditional moving job.
Our clients are often dealing with a major life change, and the work we do can make an incredibly difficult time feel much more manageable. You'll work in homes, alongside clients and their families, helping them sort through belongings, organize spaces, prepare for moves, and get homes ready for their next chapter.
No two projects are exactly alike. One day you might be carefully packing a client's lifetime of belongings; another day you could be organizing a garage, preparing a home for an estate sale, or helping someone settle into their new apartment.
If you enjoy  helping people, staying active, organizing, working with your hands, and seeing the results of a job well done , you may be a great fit for our team.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Professionally pack household belongings for relocation or storage
• Unpack and organize belongings in a client's new home or apartment
• Help clients sort, organize, declutter, and prepare belongings for their next destination
• Categorize and prepare items for donation, sale, disposal, or relocation
• Prepare and stage homes for estate sales
• Assist with estate sale setup, organization, and breakdown
• Move boxes, supplies, and household items to and from storage locations
• Safely lift and carry boxes, décor, and some furniture
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Interact respectfully and professionally with clients, family members, coworkers, vendors, and referral partners
• Follow project instructions and complete tasks carefully and efficiently
• Help identify what needs to be done and take initiative to get it done
• Perform other project-related duties as the needs of our clients and business evolve

The Person We're Looking For
We're not necessarily looking for someone with years of moving or organizing experience.  We can teach you our processes.
What matters most is who you are and how you work.
You should be:

• Dependable and punctual
• Kind, patient, and respectful
• Comfortable working with seniors and their families
• Organized and detail-oriented
• A good communicator
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
• Willing to jump in and help wherever needed
• Someone who takes pride in doing things the right way
• Comfortable working in other people's homes and treating their belongings with care
• Able to stay productive without needing to be constantly directed
• The type of person who notices what needs to be done and gets it done

Reliability is especially important to us. When we're scheduled to work in a client's home, that client and their family are counting on us to show up on time, ready to work, and ready to help.
Experience That Helps — But Isn't Required
Experience in any of the following is a plus:

• Moving or packing
• Professional organizing
• Senior services
• Hospitality
• Customer service
• Home staging
• Estate sales
• Construction or handyman work
• Warehouse or inventory work
• Cleaning or property services
• Retail or merchandising

But don't count yourself out if you don't have this experience.  A great attitude, strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn are more important to us.
Requirements

• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Valid driver's license
• Smartphone capable of using scheduling, timekeeping, and project-management applications
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to safely lift and carry boxes and household items
• Ability to safely lift approximately 40–50 pounds when necessary, with assistance for heavier or awkward items
• Ability to work in a variety of home environments
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to pass any required background screening

Schedule & Hours
Part-time, project-based position
Our schedules can vary depending on client projects. We're looking for people who have  good availability Monday–Saturday, generally between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM , with the ability to work at least 3 days per week when projects are available.
There are no guaranteed hours initially, but  our goal is to grow the business and create more consistent opportunities for the right people.
As Caring Transitions of Peachtree City grows, there will be opportunities for additional hours, increased responsibility, and advancement.
