Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring 2 years of acute care experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work on a 59-bed Cardiac Tele/Mixed Acuity unit (5E/5W),
• Fast-paced cardiac focus with patient ratios of 4-6:1,
• RN responsible for reading telemetry and titrating medications,
• Common diagnostic procedures include cardiac catheterization and stress testing,
• Medications administered include milrinone, dobutamine, heparin, and amiodarone,
• Utilizes dynamaps and telemetry monitors,
• Uses Epic EMR,
• Night shift schedule from 6:45pm-7:15am,
• Works three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours),
• Every other weekend required,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand,
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS),
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience required,
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required,
• Epic EMR experience required,

Additional Information

• Perform patient assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by patient condition,
• Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams,
• Monitor and document patient response to clinical interventions,
• Provide patient and family education specific to care needs, treatment, and discharge planning,
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff while functioning as a mentor or preceptor,
• Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives,
• Comply with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model
