Hiring Rate: $12.14 plus gratuities

Essential Job Duties:

• Greets customers and provides exceptional customer service. Takes food and beverage orders, prepares beverages, and serves customers in the dining room and patios. Verifies legal drinking age of customers ordering alcoholic beverages.
• Busses tables, restocks condiments and supplies, and performs general cleaning and sanitizing in the dining room and patios.
• Ensures health standards are met.
• Delivers and collects guest checks and payments. Responsible for ringing transactions into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• May assist with training new wait staff.

Minimum Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age Experience: Six-months food and beverage experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Effective oral communication skills for taking orders and serving customers.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to learn the menu items and options.
• Physical ability to serve food/beverages and bus tables.
• Basic math skills.

Physical Demands:

• Occasional physical work lifting up to 75 pounds
• Occasional lifting, carrying, walking and standing
• Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate personal computer and office equipment
• Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information
• Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens

Work Environment:

• Works primarily in a clean, comfortable environment

Equipment Used:

• This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment

Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
